For those new to the church, two ministries stand out as areas where you can really get to know a lot of people quickly, namely joining the welcome team or the tea and coffee ministry. Both of these ministries would lead you to meeting a lot of people very quickly.

However, we are aware that everyone is different and maybe you already know the ministry area that God wants you to serve in. So here is a list of some of the ministries that you can get involved in.

We have pledged to give 20% of our regular income to support mission work away from Gerrard Street. Our preference is always to support missionaries who we know and ideally who have been part of the church in the past. Although they may not attend very often, we continue to view such missionaries as part of our fellowship.

Some of our missionaries have asked that their details not be publicised where there is a threat of persecution. However you can read about most of them here.

Weekly Prayer Meeting (Sundays at 10.15am)

We gather weekly before our morning worship service to pray together. Usually led by an elder, these gatherings give us an opportunity to pray for the church and wider world as well as committing the morning service into God’s hands

Prayer Ministry

People from our prayer ministry team will be available after our morning service to pray with those who wish prayer for particular circumstances in their live or if they wish to respond to what God has spoken to them about during the service. 

The prayer corner is also available if you would like to simply go somewhere quiet and pray on your own.

Week of Prayer

Three times a year, we hold a week of prayer. These weeks usually have a theme that runs throughout the week. We meet each morning and evening to explore and pray about the topic for the day.

Intercessor’s Prayer Group

We have a group of people who have a particular passion to pray for others. They meet on a weekly basis and one of their core principles is absolute confidentiality. If you have something you would like them to pray for, please let one of the church leaders know and we will pass it on. 

If you are interested in joining the group, again let someone know and we will put you in touch with the leaders.

We desire to see God glorified both in our life together and in our lives when we are scattered throughout the city and Aberdeenshire.
