Join A Team
There are many opportunities to serve at Gerrard Street.
For those new to the church, two ministries stand out as areas where you can really get to know a lot of people quickly, namely joining the welcome team or the tea and coffee ministry. Both of these ministries would lead you to meeting a lot of people very quickly.
However, we are aware that everyone is different and maybe you already know the ministry area that God wants you to serve in. So here is a list of some of the ministries that you can get involved in.

Welcome Team
The Welcome team greet people as they arrive at church on a Sunday morning, look out for new people and give them a special welcome, take up the offering and serve communion. There is also the option of getting involved in following up with brand new people and helping them settle in the church.

Tea & Coffee Team
At the end of every service, we gather in the East Wing and enjoy refreshments together. Making and serving tea and coffee is a great way to get to know people quickly. The ministry runs as a rota, so you would do this every three or four weeks.

Children's Team
On Sunday mornings, we run three ministries for children. Creche is for babies and toddlers up until their third birthday. Little Lighthouse is for 3-5 year olds. And Lighthouse is for children in Primary 1 to Primary 6.

Youth Ministries
Our youth ministry has two weekly events. Creed is for those in Primary 7 to Secondary 3 and meets during the Sunday morning service. Yoof is for all Secondary school students and meets at 7.00pm on a Friday evening.

Outreach Ministries
As we develop our outreach ministries going forward, there are currently two teams you can join. Wednesday Women is a drop-in for women and Cafe Church meets on the last Sunday of the month from 2.30pm to 4.00pm.
